What is Thread RP?

What is thread rp?
-Thread role play is a form of role play in which someone places the post into a forum form. This means that the threads on wetpaint are used in order to place role play post in order to allow anyone that wishes to respond to it.
Why is it used?
-Many people use this type of form of role play for a number of reasons. One would be they may not have enough time to do a chat role play, they do not wish to follow the chat's role play, the people that they were role playing is not there, or they simply wish to role play something random. Either way, it is a slow process and most times takes awhile to do or people do not have much time.
How Long Is It?
-Most times a single post at the least is a sentence and the maximum is the max characters allowed. Rarely will someone go over the characters provided in each thread and very rarely will someone post less then a sentence. Thread posts are meant to be long, detailed, and very thought out because no one is waiting for them to post unlike in a chat. Most posts take up to 10 minutes or more to do. Some have been known to even take a week. So, it all depends on what you wish to post and how much detail you wish to add.
Steps
1. The first step is one of the most important in the whole thing. The title will always depend on what you are role playing and the plot of the role play. For example if you are role playing hunting in a forest your title would be "Forest Hunt." It tells the reader or anyone that responds what you are going to rp and it gives them an idea of if they should even do it. It is the first impression.
2. The layout is the information in your thread and how you "layout" your thread. In thread role play you add all the information needed in the first post in order to give the readers and anyone that wishes to do the role play an idea of what is going to happen, what characters there are, the setting and such. The stuff needed would include; characters, setting, who the thread is for (a certain person or anyone may join), and anything else you wish to add. An example of this is below.
3. The role play is next and the very last thing on the thread. This is simply you role playing as you wish. It should be at least a sentence long to the limited characters. You should at least say your name once in the thread and should describe the area you are in.
Example:
Topic: Guarding The Woods
Characters: Arsyia, dogs, man
Setting: The setting is a town, by a small town during winter in the medieval time.
Who: Anyone
Plot: A man comes into the forest with his dog and Arsyia tries to scare him away.
Role Play: -It was a cold day, winds were high and strong nipping at skin as the snow fell and covered the ground. The trees mainly caught most of the snow, but it couldn't hold it all for long. After awhile it would build up and the snow would fall to the ground. The cold forest looked like a forgotten waste land. In a way it was. There was no life, no sounds of animals, no movements but the wind or the simple sounds of the leaves. However when someone took a close look that was not the case. A small fire flickered in a cave, A girl stood over it, kicking dirt onto it so it would go out. She picked up a leather brown belt, as she flickered her white fox tail before straightening up. She pushed her black cloak aside to show her red shirt and old torn up jeans, as she put her belt on. She felt the weight of both her blades, Kolona and Thor along with her daggers and other items on her belt, but she did not care, She walked from the cave, perking her white fox ears as she listened to the world around her. She glanced around her and stopped, hearing the sound of foot steps. She grinned dangerously before jumping into a tree. She easily balanced on a branch as she pressed her back to the tree and lowered herself into a crouch as she hid. She narrowed her eyes as she peered from the tree, her hand never leaving her sword Kolona.-
RULES
1. All pack rules, chat rules, and rp laws apply here.
2. You may use any character you want HOWEVER we ask you mainly role play FS characters. On Fridays to Sundays, no one really cares.
3. Type as much as you want, but you are ONLY allowed to post one response until someone else responds.
4. There is no post order. Sorry guys.
5. Any posts that are deemed breaking the rules, overly rude or contain harsh/vuglar language will be deleted.
6. Once the rp is done, contact one of the admins so we can remove the topic.
